How to paint the radiator correctly?
It is necessary to follow the certain rules to achieve a beautiful and high-quality result of the painting. The lion’s share of this rules relates to the surface preparation:
- Before you start to paint the batteries, you must remove the old coating, using the remover of the old paint SP-6 “ZEBRA”;
- If there is rust on the radiators, it must also be removed before applying the enamel. However, before applying the rust converter it is necessary to degrease the surface with the white spirit. After that it is possible to apply the rust converter “Express” “ZEBRA”. You can remove old, exfoliated, rusty coating with a palette-knife;
- Dust and dirt should be removed with a damp cloth;
- Don’t forget to apply a primer to the surface in order to maximize the adhesion of the paint with the surface.Now you can apply paint with a soft brush. The battery should be painted from the top of it, gradually going down. The coating should be applied in the two layers. The second layer should be applied after the previous one has dried.
